How the Truck Finder scores trucks
Your answers are matched against the published specs in our 2026 truck database (price, towing, payload, size class and powertrains) plus our editorial ratings for each truck's off-road hardware, towing strength, daily comfort and value. Trucks that can't meet a hard requirement, such as your towing need or an electric-only preference, drop down the list, and discontinued trucks are ranked last.
A match score is a starting point, not a verdict. Once you have a shortlist, compare the top three side by side and read the verdict on each truck's page.
