TRD Pro
Our verdict
The Tundra's off-road story is simple: part-time 4WD with a real 4-Low and a rear e-locker, offered either as the TRD Pro or as the TRD Off-Road Package on SR5 through 1794. The TRD Pro adds FOX shocks, a modest front lift and skid plating, but the hybrid-only setup is expensive and the fuel economy isn't much better than the gas V6. For most people a TRD Off-Road–equipped SR5 or Limited handles most of the same trail work for a lot less.
Best for
Full-size buyers who tow and want a factory rear locker and a two-speed transfer case, with the option of a TRD Off-Road Package on a comfortable trim like the 1794 Edition instead of the pricier TRD Pro.
Skip it if
You want a front locker, better fuel economy, or a long-travel desert truck in the Raptor mold.
Strengths

- TRD Pro gets FOX internal-bypass shocks, a front lift and skid plating from the factory
- Standard 32.2-gallon tank for 2026
Weak spots
- 19–20 mpg combined in 4x4 form, hybrid included
- TRD Pro is hybrid-only and $72,565 before destination

- Toyota doesn't publish TRD Pro approach, breakover and departure angles
